International market in gold and silver are traded on the edge.Comaks 0.60 per cent, with strength in gold is trading at $ 1626. The silver rose 1.21 per cent to 28 dollars per ounce.31 per cent on Tuesday, with strength in the domestic market gold closed above Rs 30,000, while the silver with 1.10 per cent from 54 430 to Rs.
Naimaks half per cent of the crude oil is up with the business. While prices are above 84 dollars a barrel. On Tuesday, domestic crude oil with 0.62 per cent to Rs 4690.

BSE SENSEX and NIFTY traded in a volatile session shed the initial gains in later hours and ended almost flat with a nominal gain of 0.20 percent and 0.30 percent respectively. Ongoing Euro Zone worries and volatility in Rupee kept the investors on edge. However Larsen & Toubro, State Bank of India and Reliance led the rally as L&T shot 3 percent up on the session while ITC Cigarette, Tata Motors and Bharti Airtel capped the upside as tanked almost 3 percent each. Indian Rupee fell 20 paise at 55.85 against the DOLLAR after appreciating 30 paise in initial trading hours.

CURRENCY UPDATE 5-June-2012

DOLLAR

The dollar may drop toward 75.56 versus the yen after breaching key technical levels amid risk aversion by investors, according to Bank of America Corp.The U.S. currency may be poised for further declines after it closed below the so-called cloud on its weekly ichimoku chart, according to MacNeil Curry, the bank’s New York-based head of foreign-exchange and interest-rates technical strategy. 

EURO

The euro declined from a one-week high against the dollar as Spanish Budget Minister Cristobal Montoro called for European Union funds to be used to shore up the nation’s banks.

The 17-nation currency weakened for the first time in three days against the yen after Europeanretail sales fell more in April than economists forecast and German factory orders declined.

GLOBAL MARKET UPDATE 5-June-2012

ASIAN STOCKS MARKET Asian stocks rose amid speculation global policy makers will join the Reserve Bank of Australia in taking steps to stimulate economic growth and after a four-day drop left the regional gauge at the cheapest level this year.

U.S.STOCK MARKET
U.S. stock futures declined as speculation that global policy makers will increase measures to stimulate growth was overshadowed by concern about the economy. Standard & Poor’s 500 Index futures expiring this month. The S&P 500 reversed losses yesterday as the cheapest price-to-earnings valuation in six months overshadowed a drop in factory orders.

EUROPEAN MARKET
European stocks rose, snapping a four-day decline, amid speculation that policy makers around the world will take steps to stimulate economic growth. U.S. index futures fluctuated, while Asian shares advanced.

U.S.TREASURIES
Yields on Treasuries were close to record lows as Spanish Budget Minister Cristobal Montoro called for European funds to be used to shore up the nation’s banks, adding to concern theEuropean debt crisis is worsening. U.S. government securities had recouped earlier losses after European retail sales fell more in April than economists forecast and German factory orders declined.

COMMODITY UPDATE 5-June-2012

CRUDE OIL

Oil dropped on speculation Europe’s debt woes would curb energy demand after manufacturing in the continent contracted as global policy makers discuss the region’s crisis. West Texas Intermediate futures fell, giving up earlier gains of as much as 1.1 percent.

GOLD

Gold rose in New York on speculation that policy makers will take measures to stimulate economic growth as finance ministers and central bank governors from the Group of Seven nations plan to discuss Europe’s debt crisis.

SILVER

Supported by a rise in demand at the spot market, silver prices rose Rs 252 to Rs 54,091 per kg at the futures trade today. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July rose Rs 252 or 0.47 per cent to Rs 54,091 per kg with a business turnover of 6,463 lots. Similarly, the metal for delivery in September traded higher by Rs 251 or 0.45 per cent to Rs 55,515 per kg in 221 lots.

COPPER

Conditions were thin and choppy with the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed for the Diamond Jubilee holiday on Monday and Tuesday. New York copper prices initially tracked overseas weakness in Shanghai with both markets sinking to their lowest levels since October on follow-through liquidation from Friday's surprisingly soft jobs data in the United States. COMEX copper for July delivery fell 0.65 cent to settle at $3.3070 per lb, failing to sustain an earlier 1-percent rise to $3.3530 per lb.

COMEX copper volumes were relatively healthy with more than 76,000 lots traded in late New York business.

Gold and silver in the international market has seen strong growth. Comaks half per cent of the gold is trading at $ 1623 with strength. The silver is at $ 28 with a gain of about 1.5 per cent. Gold in the domestic market on Monday with a fall of half per cent to Rs 29 908, while silver closed at Rs 53 858 1.15 break.

BSE SENSEX and NIFTY traded in a volatile session on the very first day, recovered later in second half after a top official from weather department reported India’s monsoon rains may hit southern KERLA coast in two days, took SENSEX to close above 16,000 levels. However Reserve Bank of India’s deputy Governor Subir Gokaran said RBI has some possibilities to reduce policy rates also fuelled the fire to get recovered as banking stocks boosted. Bank Nifty took a smart recovery closed 3 percent up from its intraday low. JPASSOCIAT, L&T, and BANK OF BARODA led the rally while TATAPOWER, GAIL and JINDALSTEEL limited the gains.
